New Attractions in Downtown Wheeling

Dine-In Igloos
Cozy up for a unique dining experience on the patio of Wesbanco Arena. Sponsored by the Wheeling CVB, this exciting new addition to downtown will be Wheeling’s coolest night out! Starting December 8, 2025 running through December 20, 2025 with multiple time spots daily. Don’t miss your chance to book one for this season once the booking link is live. Stay tuned!
Live Christmas Tree on Market Plaza
Visit the heart of downtown and take in the city’s new centerpiece tree—kindly donated by Top Notch Landscaping and Supply. Adorned with lights and ornaments created by children of the Ohio Valley, this will be a perfect spot to stop and take a selfie or a family photo while you are out exploring the city of lights!
“Writing Home for the Holidays” Immersive Gallery
Step inside the Wheeling Artisan Center Atrium for a heartwarming community installation celebrating memories, wishes, and stories from neighbors near and far. The Artisan Center Gallery is managed and curated by Wheeling Heritage. This installation is specially designed for an interactive experience where guests can take a moment to read and reflect on the holiday season. Be sure to fill out a card while you’re there so you can be a part of the magic too!
Downtown Illuminated Snowflakes
The City of Lights needed some new lights to bring back that nostalgic holiday feeling of coming into downtown. Walk beneath the glow of the snowflakes lining Main, Market, and cross streets, thanks to a community-wide effort led by Wheeling Heritage, supported by dozens of sponsors.
The Pop-Up Jingle Bar
Located at 1001 Main Street, this pop-up holiday bar will be an ideal spot to get into the holiday spirit! This fun and jolly spot will be a must-see this season. They are hosting ticketed events, but also will be open for some good old fashioned, holly-jolly fun! Check out their Facebook page for everything you’ll need to know!
